  • Used game notes and statistics to come up with storylines during Washington Capitals home games.
  • Interviewed players and coaches after the game in locker room, recorded audio using Tascam voice recorder and condenser microphone.
  • Edited audio for best few quotes immediately after the game for used in that night’s newscasts.

Atlantic Video – Washington, DC – May ’10 – August ‘10 – General Intern

  • Assisted technicians, directors and talent on two ESPN shows, Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption, recorded daily at AV. Ran lighting board and switched prompter sources as well.
  • Helped attend to the needs of outside clients using AV’s television production facilities. Set up meal services and made photocopies as were required by the producers.
  • Worked the front desk and answered phones when receptionist was off duty.

 Voice of America – Washington, DC – September ’09 – May ‘10 – TV & Technical Studio Operations Intern

  • Assisted with recording and broadcast of programs produced by VOA and distributed to targeted audiences around the world
  • Learned to operate robotic cameras, Grass Valley Kalypso switcher and audio mixing board

  • Assisted with setup and breakdown of major ESPN broadcasts in the DC area. Includes two Monday Night Football games, as well as several major college football and basketball games.
  • Coiled cable, set up and broke down studio equipment and cameras, loaded trucks and gathered craft services.
